This course covers the technical skills and industry know-how for a career in installing, configuring and troubleshooting computer networks. This course covers all topics in the CompTIA Network + certification exam with fundamentals in protocols, topologies, hardware, and network design. The course explores TCP/IP, Ethernet, wireless transmission, wide-area networks, and security concepts. PREREQUISITE: IST 1210 Computer Maintenance & Repair and IST 1260 Operating Systems or consent of instructor.
