HIS 2104 - Intro. to African Am. History

This course introduces students to the major themes, issues, and debates in African American history from its African origins until today. It will explore how enslaved and free African Americans lived, worked, socialized, and defined themselves in American society. Students gain an understanding of how the African American experience is essential to understanding the history of the United States and the modern world.
