This course provides a foundational knowledge, at an introductory level, of the action of drugs including absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of drugs by the human body. Further, emphasis is placed on acquiring the terminology necessary for the development and coding of medical reports. Upon successful completion of this course, the individual should be able to use pharmacological terminology in an appropriate context. This is a non-lab course that is intended for individuals who intend to work as a non-clinical allied health professional.
