HIPAA for Allied Health is designed for health care professionals and includes an overview of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Focus is on the HIPAA patient privacy regulations, electronic data interchange, and security. The course is designed to satisfy the mandatory training component of HIPAA privacy for a healthcare organization's staff, including hospital administrators, physicians, nurses, medical office personnel (office managers, receptionists, etc.), or any other individuals or organizations involved in healthcare wishing to comply with or learn about HIPAA guidelines.
