This course prepares the general public as well as the Illinois Department of Corrections employees to respond to cardiac, respiratory and medical emergencies. This course contains the 2010 American Heart Association updated standards. This course also contains information and techniques needed for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), basic first aid information, and special rescue situations.
