This course focuses on life skills, professional ethics, bacteriology, safety and sanitation as it pertains to Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations, client-centered design, the fundamentals of perming, hair color, hair sculpture, and hair design. Students will also focus on the fundamentals of manicures, pedicures, and waxing. One-half to twelve credits will be awarded each time student successfully completes the course. Total number of credits that may be applied to a degree shall be twelve credits.
