This course is designed to provide the student with the knowledge necessary for the temporary and immediate care of a person who is injured or suddenly becomes ill. The class will include recognizing life-threatening conditions and taking effective action to keep the injured or ill person alive and in the best possible condition until medical treatment can be obtained. This course will be taught according to American Red Cross and American Heart Association standards and recommendations.
