The Industrial Technician Certificates, which are progressive certificates, prepare graduates to become technical and/or technical management-oriented professionals for employment or employment enhancement in manufacturing industries/businesses. These certificates represent an optional curriculum subset to the Industrial Studies degree program, which is an integrated curriculum designed to prepare students with a broad understanding of industrial manufacturing isssues, concepts, and techniques.

Major areas of concentration in manufacturing processes include:casting, molding, forging, machining processes, welding/joining processes and other techniques related to modern manufacturing.
