TEL 1263 - Introduction to Switching Technology

This course introduces the student to the theory and equipment used in telephony switching. Instruction starts with the early forms of switching and progresses to the latest technology. Discussions of how calls are switched, custom calling features that are available, and how to administer and maintain digital switches are included. Emphasis is given to instruction on digital switches which represent the most current technology.
