|LSC 2114 - Intro to Human Pathophysiology|
Underlying molecular mechanisms and causes of altered physiological states in the human body are covered. Major concepts emphasized in the course include maintenance of acid-base and body fluid balances, oxygenation, neuroendocrine regulation and control, immune defense mechanisms, cardiovascular mechanisms, and aging. Critical thinking and problem solving techniques will be used to study the interaction of body systems in the development of various disease states. This course is designed for Allied Health practitioners and preprofessional students. PREREQUISITES:LSC 2111 Human Anatomy & Physiology I, LSC 2112 Human Anatomy & Physiology II, or LSC 2265 Medical Assisting Anatomy.
