This course will explore how historical and modern practices have impacted opportunities and experiences of various cultural groups in American sport. The course will look at diversity issues as they relate to race, ethnicity, gender, social class, sexuality, and physical ability/disability. Diversity issues in sport will be related to society in a larger scale. Students will study the impact and interconnectedness of diversity issues in sport and society.
