PTA 2211 - Neuromuscular Rehabilitation

Students’ physical therapy interventions skills are expanded to include the treatment of adults and children with neuromuscular conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injuries, and developmental disabilities. Students demonstrate various physical therapy interventions and discuss patient progression as outlined in patient's plan of care. Students are expected to accurately assess patient status and document patient findings. Writing assignments, as appropriate to the discipline, are part of the course. PREREQUISITE: PTA 1221 PTA Pathophysiology.
