| MLT 2225 - Advanced Clinical Microbiology |
This course is a continuation of MLT 1205 which includes principles and procedures of medical microbiology with emphasis on acid fast organisms, viruses, fungi, and parasites. Taxonomy, identification, and culture methods will be covered in this course as well as common diseases caused by microorganisms by anatomical sites will be discussed. Quality control and clinical correlation will be used to connect learned material with real life application. PREREQUISITE: Grade of C or better in MLT 1205 Clinical Microbiology. |
