MLT 1210 - Hematology & Hemostasis

Introductory course into the theoretical principles and procedures of hematology, hemostasis, and body fluid analysis. Clinical correlations including quality control testing are included in both lecture and laboratory. This course provides essential overview information, as well as, an emphasis on the basic procedures performed in most clinical laboratories as well as their uses in the diagnosis and follow up to hematological and coagulation disorders. PREREQUISITES: Grade of C or better in MLT 1201 Introduction to Clinical Lab and LSC 2111 Human Anatomy & Physiology I. CO-REQUISITE: LSC 2112 Human Anatomy & Physiology II.
