Introductory course into the principles and procedures of medical microbiology with emphasis on pathogens commonly found in the clinical laboratory. Taxonomy, identification, culture methods, and antibiotic susceptibility test procedures will be covered in this course. Quality control and clinical correlation will be used to connect learned material with real life application. PREREQUISITES: Grade of C or better in LSC 2110 General Microbiology and MLT 1201 Introduction to Clinical Lab. |
