HIT 1202 - Healthcare Data Management |
This course examines the role of information technology in the healthcare environment through an investigation of the electronic health record (EHR), business software applications, and specialized software applications found in the healthcare environment. Special emphasis is placed on exploring how specialized record requirements are implemented in primary and secondary health data systems. Aspects relating to the legal, ethical, privacy, security, and confidentiality practices required of the health information professional is also emphasized. PREREQUISITE: DAP 1201 Business Computer Systems or concurrent enrollment. |
MAN 1202 - Industrial Safety |
Focuses upon the nature, background, importance, and needs in industrial safety. Major emphasis is placed on regulatory aspects of industrial safety, identification and controlling safety hazards, accident and injury analysis, development of safety goals, material handling, and fire prevention and protection. |
