A supervised work experience in medical offices, hospitals, dental offices, and other health care facilities. This internship will provide the CMA students with hands on experience including but not limited to blood draws, vitals, EKGs and injections. Student will be required to provide their own transportation to and from the work experience. One-half to one credit will be awarded each time student successfully completes the course. Total number of credits that may be applied to a degree shall be six credits. One credit hour is equivalent to a minimum of 75 hours of supervised work experience. PREREQUISITE: Student must have completed or be concurrently enrolled in 12 semester hours of credit in the corresponding discipline.
