GAS 1204 - Gas Utility Field Training III

This course builds upon the reinforcing material from Gas Utility Field Training II. Students continue their study on the theory and hands-on topics related to field work in the Gas Utility Construction and Service industry. Topics covered include installation and maintenance of above-ground and below-ground valves, installation of meter set assemblies (MSA), meter and regulator types and sizing, installation of steel mains and services, pipe coating methods and materials, corrosion control, join steel and plastic pipelines with mechanical fittings, gas system uprating, abandonment of gas mains and services, installation of house piping downstream of meter, customer service, and propane gas basics. PREREQUISITE: GAS 1203 Gas Utility Field Training II.
