EPF 2206 - Fire Administration Fundamentals

This course was designed in combination with EPF 2203, EPF 2204, EPF 2207 and EPF 2209 to prepare individuals for the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal (OSFM) Level: Fire Officer I. Students planning to submit an examination request for the Management I exam will be required to meet Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal (OSFM) eligibility requirements. This course specifically addresses the principles of management, including problem solving, budgeting, and roles and responsibilities of a leadership role. Topics also include public relations, verbal communication, and development of goals and objectives. PREREQUISITE: EPF 1204 Firefighting Applications.
